power from the XL gearing, machined aluminium spool and multi-disc
Carbonite drag system. Graphite frame and side plates maintain a
feather light feel and balance while increasing corrosion
resistance. From the beach, pier and jetty or the deck of a
sportfisher, the Okuma Cortez is perfect for lures, live and chunk
bait with casting governed by an externally adjustable magnetic
cast control system.

Designed to match the Okuma Cortez Reel from aesthetics to
durability, the Okuma Cortez Overhead Jig Rod is
extremely durable and light. The 2-piece blank construction
features a combination of carbon and glass mixture for ultimate
strength. Fish fighting has never been so comfortable thanks to its
EVA fore and rear grips. Plus, this rod is equipped with double
footed stainless steel guide frames with polished titanium oxide
inserts, cushioned stainless steel hooded real seat and durable
